As part of the honouring of the 4th January and the internment of Tonia Bern Campbell, the trustees of the Ruskin Museum welcomed into the wing an iconic Landrover which was used by Donald and the team in 1960 during the world land speed record attempt at Utah in the USA.
As part of the honouring of the 4th January and the internment of Tonia Bern Campbell, the trustees of the Ruskin Museum welcomed into the wing an iconic Landrover which was used by Donald and the team in 1960 during the world land speed record attempt at Utah in the USA.
The vehicle has been painstakingly preserved and refurbished to original condition and colour by my Eric Hadwin of Hadwins of Torver and was proudly unveiled by Donalds Daughter Gina Campbell.
The landrover becomes the latest exhibit to the fantastic bluebird wing together with many items of memorabilia of Donald Campbell and his Bluebird K7.
Only recently the preserved gloves and belt of Donald used in the fateful attempt had been acquired back into the collection after many years in the NE.
