Donald's widow sadly passed away aged 93 in June 2021. Her ashes were interned in January 2021 to the hallowed grave of Donald in St Andrews, Coniston.

An internment ceremony for Tonia Bern Campbell was held 55 years to the day that Donald tragically lost his life whilst attempting to further his own world record attempt on Coniston.
Donald's widow Tonia, a beloved family member and very dear to Gina, sadly passed away at the age of 93 in the USA in June 2021.
Her ashes were interned on the 4th of January 2021 in the hallowed grave of Donald Campbell in St Andrews graveyard Coniston with the service and blessing given by the reverent Brian Streeter and attended by Donalds daughter Gina Campbell her partner Brian Eastham and many friends including trustees of the Ruskin Museum.
The ceremony was held 55 years to the day that Donald tragically lost his life whilst attempting to further his own world record attempt on Coniston.
